Gaslands Monster Truck

This was a labour of love.

The wheels were a nightmare to get off and put back after painting, but really happy with the way they came out, getting them to look scrubbed up.

The front Ram was originally meant to be magnetised, but that turned out to be a complete headache, so given advice that monster trucks should nearly always take Rams, I just glued it up.

As its ability is to ignore rough terrain, I went with a really muddy theme, showing how it uses all the space on the course.
Pleased with the shocks and minor highlights, and pleased with the engine detail.

The Harpoon is magnetised, so can be swapped out or left out.

Start vehicle

Superglue and Bicarb of Soda to lock up axles.
Also little plugs of plastic as the axles could originally move up and down.

The struts for the ram took an age to get right.
Bending x4 of them, in 2 matching pairs, to sit correctly into the chassis.

Ram from a GW Imperial vehicle I think ?

Getting Primed

Dremel and wire brush made the tyres looks very realistic.
Attacked with weathering powders and mediums.

Pleased with the engine detail.

FoW - Trenches

Trenches for flames of War.
I made these a long time ago, but sadly now the new version of Flames (v4) doesn't use them I think.
Still, they were as cool build, and I'm sure they'll be usable for other things :-)

FoW - Tobruk Nests

My mate 3d printed the main hectagonal part of these for me. I then mounted them on small bases, based around the edges, and used spare HMGs from tanks fro the weapons.

x2 of them are magnetised to also take Mortars.
The mortars are made from cut down StugIII barrels, and US tank hatches :-)

FoW - Tank Turret Bunkers

Another thing I made a loooong time ago, but never got around to sharing.
Flames of War turret bunkers, designed to take any of my tanks turrets :-)
Large bases, thick card, some base filler, a washer, paint, done.

Fow - Walls

Some walls I made myself for Flames of War.
One of my gaming buddies Cilla, suggested using cheap small Jenga game blocks for walls, so I bought a couple packs for just a couple quid.
Glued x3 to wide lolly stick. Attacked top edge with a sander. Based. Painted. Done.
Easily used for both 15mm Flames of War, up to 28mm wargames.
