Gaslands Monster Truck

This was a labour of love.

The wheels were a nightmare to get off and put back after painting, but really happy with the way they came out, getting them to look scrubbed up. 

The front Ram was originally meant to be magnetised, but that turned out to be a complete headache, so given advice that monster trucks should nearly always take Rams, I just glued it up.

As its ability is to ignore rough terrain, I went with a really muddy theme, showing how it uses all the space on the course. 
Pleased with the shocks and minor highlights, and pleased with the engine detail.

The Harpoon is magnetised, so can be swapped out or left out.

Start vehicle

Superglue and Bicarb of Soda to lock up axles. 
Also little plugs of plastic as the axles could originally move up and down.

The struts for the ram took an age to get right.
Bending x4 of them, in 2 matching pairs, to sit correctly into the chassis.

Getting Primed

Dremel and wire brush made the tyres looks very realistic.

Attacked with weathering powders and mediums.

Pleased with the engine detail.

This one I called "DeadPan".
Based on a Hotwheels 'Fusionbuster'.

Gaslands Car

Well, I did it. My first ever Gaslands Car.
Not played yet, but I'm not alone in having the book, be planning scenery, and building cars before having a game :-)
I've called it 'Banshee'.
Car with Turret HMG and Dropped rear weapon.
Based on a Hotwheels Dodge Charger.
The Chassis was a pain to refit, even after sanding down parts of the interior. Its not 100%, but close enough and lends it a batttle-worn look as its slightly off to one side.
I tried to give it some old rusted scars, as well as new wounds.

Glue issue?  -  No, the chassis twisted due to engine torque....

Chaos Predator

Bought this off eBay many many moons ago.
Finally (I know I say that a lot) got around to sorting it out.
Full paint strip led to a full breakdown as it was glued together with some kind of odd rubber glue. Might have even been 'copydex' the way it behaved all stringy.  It was a nightmare to get it all off.

How it came from ebay....

Full paint strip and it fell apart.  That yellow gunk is old rubbery glue....
