Got some 3d prints of more rock formations. Primarily for "What a Cowboy" games, but agan can be for anything.
The low res printing meant some obvious striation lines, but a 50/50 mix of Modge Podge and Black paint heavily painted took out the worst of them.
Once dried, a heavy grey drybrush finished them off for some quick and easy rocks :-)

Shingle Berms
At Omaha Beach, the troops managed to get a small amount of cover from the "Shingle Berms" that occured naturally on the beach.
I belive there was a main one just below the main German defence bunkers.
I made x8 to represent this on beach assault tables. Its mainly just representative, so could work for 15 or 28mm I guess.
Made these with a rough carboard 'mold' of sorts. Took a while to dry but are very solid.

Hedges
Some more hedges I made a while back. Made x4 of these. Came out nice.
Scouring pads on large lolly sticks with flock :-)

Rocks
I wanted to make some rocks for ages.
Playing What a Cowboy finally pushed me to do it, but rather than the pale khaki desert colours, I plan to do them light greys, so I can use them for more varied games.
The process...

All done. Happy with these. Made more than shown here (13 in total). |
Ruins
Made a couple of these Ruins for 40k and modern games. Cut from thin plywood and sprayed up with a little gravel added, they are simple but effective.
